picture of myself

I'm Erick & it's my pleasure to meet you.

Who am I?

I am a 21 year old, self-taught, junior web-developer based in Hollywood, Florida. I aspire to be at least a front-end developer by July 2021. My long-term goal is to become a full-stack Software Engineer, as soon as mentally possible. It's very inspiring to me to think I may end up writing programs for companies like NASA, Tesla, Apple, or maybe even developing high-quality games for a company like EA.

I might have a long way to go but I've already made a dent and I am nowhere near done.

I come with goals:

Skills

4 years of experience in hospitality later, I am skilled in handling people and understanding where they're coming from. These concepts make it easy for me to view my programs from a user-standpoint. Hand-in-hand with my own expectations, I don't stop until an attractive, efficient product is delivered.

Inter-personal

  1. Intuitive:
quick to learn & easy to teach!
  2. Leadership:
productivity & standard oriented with the capacity to teach after leading by example.
  3. People-Person:
Super-friendly and approachable without breaking professional barriers.

Technical

  1. HTML:
Comfortable fixing bugs, arranging elements, and using appropriate semantics.
  2. CSS:
Junior-level; comfortable adjusting styles, establishing new ones, and using BootStrap
  3. JavaScript:
Strong grip on CS fundamentals & JS syntax.

Portfolio

First impression is one thing, tangible work is another.
Below are a handful of projects, which are small in size, but demonstrate my understanding of the technology used within them. To view my full portfolio, please visit my GitHub.
